Code Violations

Texas City works hard to keep our streets clean, safe, and livable, but we can and should be more proactive, especially when it comes to code enforcement.

One of the most common concerns I hear from residents is about abandoned cars, overgrown lots, and neglected properties. These issues don’t just affect how our neighborhoods look—they impact property values, safety, and community pride. No one wants to live next to a property that’s been left behind.

Taking Action Together

We cannot expect others to respect our city if we don’t treat it with respect. Texas City is our home, and every family deserves to live in a clean, well-maintained neighborhood. The good news is: residents already have a tool to help address these issues, but many people simply don’t know it exists. I’ve included a direct link below so you can easily report concerns like:

  • Abandoned vehicles
  • High grass and overgrown lots
  • Junk and debris
  • Unsafe or neglected properties
