My Priorities

 Texas City deserves leadership that moves past division and unnecessary controversy and instead prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and real solutions for our community to ultimately promote people-first governance.

As your Texas City Commissioner At-Large, I am committed to: 

• Hosting a monthly town hall, open to all Texas City residents. 
• Cultivate already existing relationships with elected officials, key stakeholders, and community members. 
• Advocate for increased access for community members to submit public comments at City Council Meetings. 
• Establish a “Citizens Advisory Council” – fully composed of community members to set policy priorities and ensure that community voices are being uplifted. 
• Promote government transparency at our local level. I am committed to being as open as possible about agenda items, my stances, and my policies. 
• Advocate for the creation of a city charter committee to subsequently promote city charter reform. 

As Texas City continues to grow, we must ensure that economic development strengthens our local businesses, cuts unnecessary red tape, and invests in workforce development so prosperity stays rooted in our community and creates real opportunity for our residents.

As your Texas City Commissioner At-Large, I am committed to: 

• Continue to integrate new businesses and franchises into the Texas City Economy. 
• Reduce the bureaucracy of small-business permitting. 
• Accelerate permitting processes to help mom-and-pop establishments start their businesses more quickly.
• Strengthen Texas Workforce Commission skills development training programs by offering classes at College of the Mainland.
• Create a local teen summer employment program.

Building a stronger Texas City starts with expanding opportunities for residents to get involved, fostering partnerships, and creating programs that connect people to their community in meaningful ways.

As your Texas City Commissioner At-Large, I am committed to: 

• Creating increased community involvement in Texas City Boards & Commissions. 
• Seeking both federal and private funding sources and building partnerships for city beautification. 
• Prioritize youth initiatives. I will create a youth advisory council and bring back the cadet program. 
• Investing in our Community Gardens/Green Spaces.
